Well highlight of the week was going to the temple with Uele and Ula. It was so amazing seeing Uele and Ula going down the covenent path and continuing to grow as saints. It was amazing to do their confirmations as well.

The other thing that I loved this week was teaching Va'aloa. She's Ula's younger sister and she reminds me a lot of my cousin Marissa. 

Honestly this last week's a been a blur. I have it written down my journal but I didn't write much this week. I can't say it's the best week I've had, and I'm sorry there's not much to write about this week, but hey not every week in the mission is meant to be great. Hopefully this next week is a lot better! The Weeklies Are Endangered

Well, since the amazing news that I can call home, I'm not sure how much I'm going to be able to write out my weekly letters. I'm going to try and keep it going, but I might not have time to make them really good. 

So what's happening? Well last Friday during District Council I got an email from the church that says "Effective Immediately missionaries may now call home weekly." So many emotions and thoughts were coming to my head in the moments that followed that. Ultimately I'm so excited for the new change, but I really hope that it doesn't distract me. So if any of you get a call or text from me, will you ask for the reason I'm calling? Hopefully that will help me be more accountable and be able to remember that I'm still a missionary.  

I love you guys, I can't wait to tell you, truly call and tell you, how the mission is going. I love being a missionary in a time of great change in the church. I'm grateful for President Nelson that he can be a faithful prophet of the Lord and help us understand the changes that Christ is making for the church. I love sharing the gospel and I cant wait to share it more with you guys. So until you get a call or a text, Have a Great Day!... and I suppose you can have a great day after that call or text too.  

Revelation and Faith

This last week I have been given so much revelation, flat out revelation. After Elder Kopischke's Zone conference I've been looking at all the notes I took from that experience and I've been trying to use A.W.Y.L (Apply What You"ve Learned) and everything has just been clicking. This Friday we had district training and it was the same thing as zone conference, pure revelation. I hope that this doesn't just come while I'm a missionary because I rather like knowing what I'm needed to do for Heavenly Father. The key importance of what I've learned is that revelation only matters if you have the Faith to act of it. 

I've been studying a lot about Faith lately. Why is faith the first principle? Why is faith so essencial? Some of the answers I have received came from Sister Hewlett. The line she gave me, that came from Elder Kopischke, was "there's no such thing as disobedient missionaries. only missionaries who lack the faith to receive the blessings from being obedient." That hit me so hard. Why do people not come to church? Because they lack faith. Why do people break the Sabbath? Because they lack faith.... I can go on, but I've just begun to understand more on why faith proceeds all. 

To be honest, not much has happend this last week. we have one new guy we're teaching that I'm really excited to teach with because he asks amazing questions. but other than that, nothing really has happend. But I've been getting so many ideas of what I should be doing from the Lord that there must be something around the corner, I just need the faith to walk around and find it. I love you guys, The mission isnt always easy but it has been one of the greatest things for me and I hope I can continue to be a sharp tool in the Lord's hands. My Samoan Mission

Talofa everyone! this last week has been a packed one so buckle up and keep your hands and feet in the vehicle at all times.

Wednesday was my first full day having to lead out Woodville and man it was stressful. I really dont know what I'm supose to be doing, but I had faith that the lord would lead me throught the day. I've discovered that Elder Seal and I teach really well together and I love knocking on doors with him. We both just come in when we feel it's right and teach in unison, it's really great! we then went to the family history center and introduced Elder Seal to the branch members that were there. The last part of the day we had interviews for Uele (pronounce Willy) and Ula Asailevai. We had Elder Lloyd and Walter come over and while Elder Lloyd was interviewing them Elder Seal, Walter, and I sat in the hall and talked about life, mission, movies, and video games.

Thursday was a day of planing, I just needed so much time to get down everthing that was going to be importand for this next transfer like people we need to teach/visit, miles, hours, more people, places, etc... Then that night we handed out 3 copies of the Book of Mormon which felt Great! I'm really glad that I can take one thing at a time and break down big tasks.

Friday we had a really great Distict Council on how we can receive revelation and follow the spirit more. It was really great and I decided to go back through my study journal and see the revelation I had already received. I really want to be a diligent missionary and I already know how, I just need to act on the promptings and revelations I have already received and just be optimal in my time out here. Last part of the day we watched the restoration movie with Uele and Ula and then we gave them a short lesson on the importance of taking on the name of Christ and being members of his church. Then I walked outside and looked up at the stars. Now Woodville doesn't have much light pollution, so the stars are really bright. And while I was looking up at the stars I justs felt like Heaven was raining down on me.

Saturday was Uele and Ula's baptism and I guess we were in charge of making the progam. So we put together a program about 10 minutes before the baptism began 😱 (it was pretty stressful) So yeah, Saturday was my first Baptism and it was incredible. We then helped with a funeral service which went really well, there were like 96 people that crammed into our cultural hall and it was great. The last thing that happend today was changing break pads for a member's car. I actually got a migrane half way through that so I was out of commision for the night.

Sunday Uele and Ula were confirmed (they may or may not have shown up a bit late and gave me a mini heart-attack) but the spirit was so great. I bore my testimony of the Book of Mormon that meeting and after chruch Uele received the Prieisthood! It was actually Uele's 35th birthday and we went over later for dinner. Uele shared that he's been feeling the Holy Ghost all day and that whenever he wants to say something bad he feels like there's a hand over his mouth. We then gave Va'aloa (Ula's sister) a copy of the Book of Mormon and told her to read it and not follow Satan. (there's a story behind why) 

Monday. Now I bet you thought that the baptism was the best part of my week right, well HA! Zone Conference Topped it. (not by much though) We had a General Authority come, Elder Kopischke, and it was about 5 hours of strait revelation. There was so much that happened, but to summerize it, I learned a lot about how I can best be a missionary and how I can best help Woodville as I lead out. There was much more that I learned but I'm not sure I can write it all down.

So all that this week and my mission has tought me that I should always focus on the small and simple miracles that happend each day. Once I do that I can never stay stressed, sad, unmotivated, or homesick for long.
