Tests and Turnarounds

The final week of this transfer has been fanominal! Coming into the area was difficult for me but looking back and seeing the small but significant changes that have come into the area is incredible.

Elder Borg and I have had such a blast finding new people in apartments, roads with a ton of pot holes, and on islands. It's been so much fun! And this last week we've also been able to start teaching a lot of the people we've found, which has been so great. I love how simple it is to share the gospel and as I find my conversion deepening, I'm seeing how normal it is for me to share it, just like any of my other passions.

It's good bye for a lot of my district, I've gotten to know some of the greatest missionaries here in Cleveland and I can't wait to see what they do in the next little bit.

Anywho, the book of Mormon is still the best book (come follow me added to that), missions are sweet, and the best times are when you allow yourself to change. Keep having fun!

Another Weekly

Something that stood out to me has been death and the resurrection. We served someone this week who is nearing their death and it was really incredible to reflect on the atonement of Jesus Christ and how that allows us to come back from the dead. That's super cool. Not only that but we are promised a perfected body to replace our old ones.

Merry Christmas everyone!

Anywho the three pictures are our district at a taco stand, our wall of craziness (with Christmas stalking, thanks grandma!), and finally some eye candy.

Holidays and the Furph

This last week had a ton of sweet miracles. It was kind of weird how normal it felt compared to the last couple of weeks.

So this Thursday I went on exchanges with my old companion Elder Furphy, which was super fun. We found someone new to teach and had a good time as always. Its really cool to see how much he's grown from when we were last together and it's really great having him as a zone leader. Also that night we had the zone leaders stay at our appartment, and I think the picture below sums that night.

Thanksgiving was really good I got to call my family and eat a lot of good food. No cinnamon rolls this year though😭. That night we found a bike frame in the elders closet. It was a older but nicer frame than the one on my bike so I asked if I could snag it. So then that night I fiddled with it just trying to see if I "could" shift everything from my bike over to the new frame.... well about 10 minute in I felt like I "could" so my head said "you can, so full speed"... so about an hour and 10 ish minutes later I had the workings of a new bike.

That was the first time I had changed all the parts on a bike before and now I feel like I can work in a bike shop. It was something I never really thought I would or could do (at least on a mission) and the words of this scripture came to me

Doctorine and Covenants 60:13
- Behold, they have been sent to preach my gospel among the congregations of the wicked; wherefore, I give unto them a commandment, thus: Thou shalt not idle away thy time, neither shalt thou bury thy talent that it may not be known.

Each and everyone of us really are unique and have been blessed with talents. (Apparently one of mine is takinging things apart and putting then back together.) I'm not sure how I can use that to share the gospel but I do know that it felt good to be able to use skill of mine to make something I'll be able to use.

I always love you guys and I hope you have a great season lighting the world.

PS light the world is a go. Make sure you're signed up for text reminders and serve someone.
