Whitewashing Part 2

Wow this last little bit has been exhausting. Crazy transfers, new area, new companion (Elder To'o from Samoa), whitewashing part 2. It has been a lot. We've gotten to go and do a lot of service, meet some of the members of the ward, and my favorite part this week was going over to a members home and singing hymns.

I love the example of Joseph who was sold into Egypt. His brothers sold him as a slave so he said "I guess I'll be the best slave." After that he got thrown into prison, so he said "I guess I'll be the best prisoner." Finally he was made 2nd to pharaoh and I suppose he said "I guess I'll be the best 2nd to pharaoh"

So I guess I'll be the best quarantine missionary...

Reception to Power

Heya guys! So this week again has been great. I've been having a wonderful time this last bit and I,ve got to credit that to focus. I've been focusing a lot more on my Mission and the Savior and I can tell the difference.

Last p-day we had an Ice Cream Taste Test, so we got a bunch of different brands and unfortunately they didn't have any good flavors! We've been able to see Elder Rascon a ton this week and that there is a man of Doing. One of my favorite moments of the week was going out and picking up trash along the trail and this kid stopped us and asked what we do. So we got to share a ton with him and then he brought us some sodas and picked up trash with us. All-in-all great week!

So Reception, or Receiving, why is that Important spiritually? well this last week we were taught by Elder Rascon that God is constantly giving us revelation, in context of the Hear Him message, He's saying a lot. But what turns those words or revelation into a Powerful role in our lives is Reception. When we receive revelation, not just get revelation, we then are given the opportunity to exercise Faith. As Nephi would say ''Go and Do.'' I know this last week as I've acted on my revelation I've received a great ton of blessings that I was looking for. 

This Gospel is Great Stuff. I love what it does for my life. Hope y'all have a great week!
